The Charity Event at the William Morris Labour Club was a great succcess and loads of fun. An Easter pool competition was arranged by Greg the Bar Manager which helped to raise some funds in memory of Dad. Sponsorship head shaves and (Rat), who has had a beard for over 34 years had this shaved off, which was a great boost to the funds. The Bric-a-Brac did not fair so well so I will be doing a car boot sale in the next couple of weeks to help boost the funs. Approx total for the day was £300, included in which is the kind donation from the Labour Club of £100. Once all money collected in I will be sending a cheque to the British Lung Foundation and request a letter be sent to Greg at the Labour Club thanking him for all his support, as without allowing us to use the venue the day would not have been possible. A very special thank you will be posted up in the Labour Club for all who supported and helped for this event to be so successful.
